I have always been passionate and had a creative flair for art and I decided to become a professional makeup artist after completing my art degree. I realised I had a talent for makeup whilst working for Estee Lauder as a part-time makeup artist while I was studying.

After graduating, I moved to London where I attended Greasepaint - International School of Television, Film and Theatre where I gained extensive training and qualified in all aspects of makeup and hair styling. I am also a qualified hairdresser.

I have worked extensively as a professional makeup artist in the television industry on programmes such as Lion TV, Bloomberg News, the Community Channel, the Alan Titmarsh Show, Getzels Gordon productions and I have also worked in film and theatre.  I have also been working with the Birmingham Hippodrome on various projects.

As well as television, film and theatre work I have commercial experience in editorial and fashion makeup working on shoots for Impact Model Management and various magazines plus photoshoots for companies such as TK Maxx, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Santander and Skoda.  I have been working with some fantastic photographers during 2016 and 2017 which has really been exciting for me, I really enjoy the challenges they give me.

I have been featured in the reality TV show, Hired or Fired on Sky TV Channel – Red, demonstrating my expertise in makeup and hair.

One of the most rewarding parts of my career is giving talks to potential future makeup artists at Birmingham City College.

It’s important in this industry to keep up with the latest make-up and skincare product knowledge. I have done this by working with Estee Lauder and companies such as Stila, Bobby Brown and Prescriptives and I have also been trained by MAC on all their techniques including foundation airbrushing. Some of my favourite products I use in my Make-up kit are Charlotte Tilbury, Giorgio Armani, Illamasqua, Nars, Bobbi Brown and many more.

I have a keen interest in bridal makeup and hair styling, and now find this the most rewarding part of my career, making other people feel special on what is the most important day of their lives. I have been nominated for a National Wedding Industry Award for Best Makeup Artist.

For the past 5 years I have been working with Your West Midlands Wedding magazine answering bridal makeup and hair questions on their ‘ask an expert page’.

I am now based in Birmingham (West Midlands) where I own my own hair salon, Salon G. My team at Salon G allow me to maintain a balance between my freelance makeup work and the salon.

In a career spanning over 15 years, I have had the pleasure of working with with some great people including Celebrity Chef Rosmary Shrager, FHM model Zoe Salmon, Gemma Cairney from BBC Radio 1 and Channel 4’s Frock Me programme and more recently GMTV stylist Mark Heyes for TK Maxx’s Red Nose Day Makeover.

I can cover all areas of the country but some travel expenses maybe incurred depending on distance.
