Bronzer 3 ways...
The sun is shining – for the moment at least and my thoughts and maybe yours are turning to bronzers! I’m going to share my ideas on how you can use bronzer in three different ways.
Contour – using a small brush you can use bronzer to add subtle contour. Remember you are aiming for a precise application. Starting at your ear follow the curve onto your cheekbone and then you place the bronzer into the hollow under the bone and then blend out to avoid stripes. To complete the contour dust bronzer under your jaw and down the sides of your nose. Use a light touch, you can always go back in and add more.
Glow – bronzer can be used to give you an all-over glow – you will need a big fluffy brush to dust the powder all over your face. For this look you will need to make sure that the colour of your face matches the rest of you – especially your neck and cleavage if they will be on show. It might be an idea to use some fake tan on your arms and legs to even things up.
Warmth – finally bronzer can be used to bring warmth to the skin. Apply to the top of your forehead, along the hairline, then sweep along the top of your cheekbones and lastly dust a little across the bridge of your nose. These are the areas where you would naturally catch the sun.
Bronzers come in lots of shades and it’s really important that you choose the one that is right for you. I think, like with foundation, you need to try before you buy as the product can look very different when it’s on. Visit the cosmetic counters and ask what they recommend and then try it. You need to see yourself in daylight to make sure the bronzer is the right shade for you. I always ask myself when trying new beauty & makeup products “Do I or my client look better?” and if the answer is yes then I’ll probably buy it!
A couple of my favourites at the moment are Hoola Bronzer by Benefit and Film Star Bronze & Glow from Charlotte Tilbury and if youre looking for new brushes I recommend Crown.
Enjoy the sunshine – whether it’s from the actual weather or from your bronzer and remember to message me if you need advice on any makeup and hair issues and I’ll endeavour to cover them on here.
